About the Conference
A different kind of aesthetic medicine conference
Skinovation: The Aesthetic Open House is a curated gathering at the intersection of clinical expertise and entrepreneurial excellence. It brings together medical professionals, innovators, brand leaders, and forward-thinking practitioners in one intentional space: where science meets strategy, and where knowledge is not only shared, but expanded.
More than an event, Skinovation exists to elevate standards, encourage collaboration over competition, and spotlight the evolving landscape of aesthetic medicine in Nigeria and beyond.

The Convener
The vision behind Skinovation
Dr. Uzo Iloabachie is the convener of Skinovation and the Principal Clinician of Skintisfaction Aesthetic, Dermatology & Laser Clinic, Lagos. She holds a Medical Master’s degree in Clinical Dermatology from King’s College London, a GEST Fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatology from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, and a Master of Science in Aesthetic Medicine with distinction from Queen Mary University of London.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Uzo is an international trainer with the North American Board of Aesthetic Medicine, equipping doctors, nurses, and beauty professionals with advanced aesthetic skills across multiple regions. She has spoken at platforms including Beauty West Africa, Beauty in the Motherland, and conferences hosted by the Nigerian Association of Dermatologists, and has collaborated with globally recognised skincare brands including Eucerin and La Roche-Posay.
She founded Skinovation from a conviction that Nigeria’s aesthetic medicine industry needed a serious, structured forum where practitioners could speak honestly about standards, safety, and the future of the profession. That conviction has shaped every edition of the conference.
What Skinovation Focuses On
The conversations shaping the industry
Every edition of Skinovation is built around a set of core objectives. These are not aspirational statements. They are the working agenda for every panel, every keynote, and every conversation.

Responsible Practice
Ensuring public awareness keeps pace with industry growth, and that patients understand what responsible aesthetic care looks like.
Clinical Standards
An honest assessment of internationally recognised standards of care and where Nigeria's aesthetic sector still has ground to cover.
Public Trust
Introducing credentialed practitioners to the public and building the transparency the industry depends on to earn lasting confidence.
Tackling Misinformation
Naming the common pitfalls of social media-driven aesthetic decisions and helping audiences separate content from clinical fact.
Unqualified Practitioners
A direct conversation about what unqualified practice costs patients, and what qualified practitioners can do to address it.
Regulation & Ethics
Where is aesthetic medicine headed within Nigerian healthcare, what should regulation look like, and who needs to be at the table?

The 2026 Edition
Skinovation 2.0: Beauty as Business
The second edition of Skinovation took place on Saturday, 28 February 2026 at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. Under the theme Beauty as Business: Clinical Expertise Meets Entrepreneurial Excellence, the day brought together 17 panelists, a keynote speaker, and hundreds of attendees for seven hours of panels, interviews, and honest industry conversation.
The theme was a deliberate challenge to practitioners and business owners alike: excellence is not optional, and neither is accountability. The 2.0 edition asked how you build something sustainable in an industry that is growing faster than its standards. The conversations that followed shaped a shared language for what responsible growth in aesthetic medicine actually looks like.
